Leyenda del  atrapasueños

Es innegable el poder que tienen los mitos en nuestra psiquis; el inconsciente colectivo, ese mágico y potente generador de recursos energéticos, nos transporta a un lenguaje simbólico que aún sin comprender conscientemente, puede desbordarnos tanto de emociones positivas como negativas.

Muchos tenemos en nuestro hogar un atrapasueños, algunos lo adquirimos como un objeto mítico, otros como un simple adorno; y otros quizás lo han recibido como obsequio de cumpleaños algo exótico de la mano de esa amiga bohemia que siempre ilumina con su frescura nuestro entorno afectivo.

Es posible inclusive que algunos de ustedes desconozcan su existencia; para todos va esta ancestral historia que hoy les cuento, con la noble intención de ayudarlos a comprender el porqué de estos maravillosos colgantes que engalanan con sus brillos artesanales las más variadas salas de muchas residencias y comercios.

Se trata de una Leyenda Lakota, proveniente de una Tribu India de América del Norte. Ella cuenta que hace mucho tiempo atrás, cuando el mundo era joven, Lakota, que era un viejo líder espiritual, encontrándose en una de las montañas más altas, tuvo una visión en la que se le presentó Iktomi (el gran maestro bromista de la sabiduría), aparecido en forma de araña. Iktomi se manifestaba por medio de un lenguaje secreto, que sólo podían comprender los más avanzados líderes espirituales de la tribu.

Mientras ellos intercambiaban en diálogo, Iktomi (la araña), cogió un trozo de madera viejo, le dio forma redonda y con algunas plumas, adornos de cuentas, comenzó a tejer una telaraña.

Iktomi al mismo tiempo que hablaba, continuaba entretejiendo su telaraña desde afuera, hacia el centro; ni bien la halló terminada, le entregó a Lakota la red, diciéndole: "Mira la telaraña, es un circulo perfecto, pero en el centro hay un agujero; úsala para ayudarte a ti mismo y a tu gente; para alcanzar tus metas y hacer buen uso de las ideas de la gente, sueños y visiones".
"Si tú crees en el Gran Espíritu, la telaraña atrapará tus buenas ideas y las malas se irán por el agujero".

La energía positiva y creativa vertida de los sueños queda atrapada en la telaraña de la vida; mientras que todo lo malo, negativo y atemorizante se escapa a través del agujero del centro, para no ser más nunca parte de ellos.

Por lo tanto, es menester considerar que:
-El círculo o soporte donde irán sostenidos los hilos, debe ser de madera natural, una rama de arbusto, de preferencia el sauce;
-Que la forma de la rama debe ser lo más parecido al círculo posible;
-Por debajo del circulo debe pender una pluma que también debe de ser natural;

Los atrapasueños deben colgarse en el techo de la habitación, cerca de la cabecera de la cama, evitando el contacto con cualquier objeto o pared que le impida la libertad de sus movimientos.

Como cualquier objeto fascinante, debe de encontrarse en perfecto estado; cuando el tiempo desgaste sus materiales, se suelten sus hilos o las plumas pierdan su color; es imprescindible reemplazarlo por otro nuevo; quemando el viejo y arrojándolo a la basura.
Este mágico elemento nos facilita un buen descanso, ya que absorbe las negatividades del ambiente, aleja a los malos espíritus, elimina las pesadillas y atrae sueños con soluciones creativas y necesarias para la situación actual de quienes descansan en su fe.
